Marc A. Heuser

Hello, Iā€™m Marc. I believe in the beauty and power of humanity. We are a fascinating species who are able to create and live extraordinary lives. However, along the way we can be derailed from our journey. This can occur for a variety of reasons, such as challenges in relationships, difficult life experiences, unexpected tragedies, internal conflicts, and new self realizations.

Being derailed or knocked down is not the end of the story. Humans are resilient, and we have an innate ability to get back up. Sometimes we can do it alone and other times we need the help of others. This is where I step in and partner with you to address your situation. Together we will work with your individual experience to find ways that support your healing and help you to repair your circumstances.

My Therapy Training

My training involved getting my formal credentials from a CACREP accredited institution, where I received an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am certified with National Board for Certified Counselors, and I am registered to legally practice in Colorado and Idaho as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In the past I have worked in a variety of settings leveraging evidence based therapeutic approaches. I have spent time counseling individuals in a community practice, as well as working with groups and individuals addressing anger management and addiction challenges. I have been privileged to partner with people on their journeys to create health and wellbeing in their lives. I aim to create an environment that is safe, free of shame, and responsive to the needs of the individual so that healing can occur. I leverage my somatic training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), mindfulness, and parts work, to lead people through their traumas and adverse experiences.
